The Story
Claritas Floor Lamp by Nemo was designed in 1946 by Vico Magistretti and produced by Mario Tedeschi. Created in a post-war context of industrial repurposing, it was Magistretti’s first lighting design — conceived to deliver clarity through function and form.
The fixture features curved metal tubes and an aluminium reflector, which can be adjusted and directed to shape the light as needed. With its structural openness and mechanical flexibility, the Claritas Floor Lamp offers purposeful illumination with sculptural character.
A landmark in Italian design, this piece remains a timeless example of early modernist ingenuity and material economy.
